Venezuelan forward Michael Carrera and the Mexican Red Devils made history in Aztec basketball, when they were crowned champions of the National Professional Basketball League (LNBP) after defeating the Xalapa Falcons in four of the five games played.
Vinotinto contributed 14 points in the last match, with three rebounds and two assists, to achieve an 82-76 victory.
The Venezuelan was a key player for the team in the final, leaving double digits in all four matches, accumulating a total of 49 points.
In 18 games played in Mexico, Carrera averaged 8.0, 5.5 rebounds, 1.44 assists and 19:54 minutes per game. In addition, he had 48.57 in terms of field goals, 28.89% from the three-point line and a total of 15 rebounds, according to sports media reports.
This is the second title for the Venezuelan in Mexican soil after winning it for the first time with Soles de Mexicali in the 2018 season.
