At an event held in Plaza O'leary in Caracas, 131 urban land titles were awarded to the inhabitants of the Sucre and La Vega parishes of the Libertador municipality, by the Bolivarian Government.
The Deputy Minister for Integral Development in urban areas of the Great Venezuela Housing Mission (GMVV), Carolina Cestari, in statements to Venezolana de Televisión, stated that the teams are formed so that the people can receive land title expeditiously.
He indicated that they work in coordination with the Mayor's Office of Caracas, so that the assignment of titles is expeditiously.
In this regard, he explained that since 2002, 1,317,880 land titles have been awarded to communities across the country, which have been organized into the Urban Land Committee (CTU), a space where they work to develop a comprehensive transformation of urban planning and habitat.
Cestari said that this week new methodologies will be implemented that will allow communities to directly manage their urban planning.
He stressed that the GMVV is aimed at providing people with access to decent housing, without managers or so many processes. “We are creating a new methodology for the allocation of housing, based on our town forming the communes, the AVV, the communal councils and the Multifamily Management Committees,” he said.
This new approach seeks to reduce bureaucracy and ensure that the benefits of the GMVV reach Venezuelan families more directly and efficiently.
The objectives are to Strengthen communal governance: promote the organization and active participation of communities; Streamlining processes: Reduce waiting times for fairer access to housing; Comprehensive care: Improve the rehabilitation and maintenance of existing urban planning.
