Starting next Monday, November 25, the METROBÚS system will begin to charge the ticket through the Single Electronic Travel System (SUVE), a payment method that had already been implemented in the subway since September 2.
In the Metro System account, on the social network Instagram, he reported that users can purchase the SUVE at any of the Caracas Metro stations.
The mass transport company called on all users to take precautions in response to the announcement and invited them to purchase the SUVE card at subway stations.
The SUVE system offers three card options for users, differentiated by the yellow colors, aimed exclusively at people with disabilities and/or the elderly, who will be exempt from paying for the trip.
Another format is blue, created with the objective of mobilizing students at different educational levels, and has a discount of 50%, while the rest of the users can purchase the red card.
The cards cost 25 bolivars that can be canceled in debit or cash. Users who have a yellow or blue card are non-transferable and can only be used by the holder.
The misuse of these will cause the staff at Caracas Metro stations to retain the plastic and the elderly, disabled person or student will lose the benefit and must purchase a red card to enter the system.
