Ambassador Ramón Orlando Maniglia presented Credentials to the President of Colombia Gustavo Petro

In a protocol ceremony held at the Nariño Palace, the ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Colombia, Ramón Orlando Maniglia Ferreira, presented his Credentials to the President of the Republic of Colombia, Gustavo Petro Urrego, an act that formalizes the beginning of his functions as Head of the Venezuelan Diplomatic Mission in Colombian territory.

During the ceremony, held with corresponding honors, the will of the governments of Venezuela and Colombia to continue strengthening bilateral relations, based on mutual respect, cooperation, permanent dialogue and integration between two nations united by deep historical, cultural, social and economic ties, was reaffirmed.

With the delivery of Credentials, Ambassador Maniglia Ferreira officially assumes the representation of the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela before the Republic of Colombia, with the commitment to deepen the bilateral agenda in areas of common interest, promote existing cooperation mechanisms and promote initiatives aimed at the well-being of both peoples.

This protocol act represents a new step in strengthening diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Colombia, and ratifies the willingness of both States to continue advancing an agenda of cooperation that contributes to development, peace, stability and the shared benefit of their peoples.
