Angola and Venezuela reviewed energy and trade cooperation agenda

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia, reported that he held a fraternal meeting with his counterpart from Angola, Ambassador Tété António, aimed at consolidating the ties of strategic cooperation and bilateral exchange between the two peoples.
He specified that the meeting was held within the framework of the 81st session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).
At the meeting, he stated that “we reviewed our bilateral agenda and the opportunities to continue strengthening cooperation ties, in particular in trade, investment, mining and offshore oil exploration, productive sectors and the exchange of knowledge and experiences fundamental to the development of our peoples.”
Diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Angola are characterized by a strategic alliance based on energy, oil and diplomatic cooperation, framed in the principle of South-South cooperation.
