With the honors corresponding to his high inauguration, the President of the Republic of Paraguay, Santiago Peña, was dismissed at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, after completing a working visit to Venezuela, where he held a high-level meeting with the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.
The official farewell was led by the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia, together with a delegation of authorities from the national Government.
After the protocol acts on the dispatch ramp, the Paraguayan president boarded the Paraguayan Air Force aircraft in the company of his nation's first lady.
This first official visit of President Santiago Peña to Caracas is part of the actions promoted by the Venezuelan government for the gradual and orderly re-establishment of diplomatic and consular relations with the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, within the policy of peace diplomacy.
