Bolivarian Government congratulated young Venezuelans who excelled at the Mathematics Olympics in China

The young Luis Enrique García González, a native of the state of Táchira and a member of the National Scientific Seed Program, won an honorable mention at the 67th International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), held in Shanghai, People's Republic of China.
During his performance, the young man from Tachirense faced logical thinking challenges to provide solutions to complex problems.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), Luis Enrique, accompanied by five other young Venezuelans, was able to pass these tests and bring well-deserved recognition to our country, demonstrating that mathematics is essential for life.
In this regard, the holder of the Science portfolio, Yván Gil, congratulated the outstanding participation of these young people who left our flag very high.
“To José Leonardo, César, Carlos, Manuel, Leandro and, especially, to Luis Enrique García, 13, for his Honorable Mention: THANK YOU for setting Venezuela high!” , Gil said in a post on his Telegram channel.
The International Mathematical Olympiad brought together the brightest minds from more than 100 countries on five continents. This event has been held since 1959 and is considered one of the most valuable world championships for high school students in the world.
