The Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology organized
a strategic meeting between the Zuliano Institute Foundation for Technological
Research (INZIT) and the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific
Research (IVIC) to evaluate
tropical agriculture projects with priority on cocoa crops.
The institutions coordinated actions aimed at providing direct technical
solutions to the peasant sector in the Andean and Zulian regions,
so the work teams agreed to initiate controlled
field tests with the biotechnological product BioInzit to measure its effectiveness in crop performance.
In addition, the specialists will carry out soil studies and
sampling in productive plots on the bordering axis, guaranteeing accurate
diagnoses and rigorous support to local producers.
Ministerial spokespersons highlighted the importance of these
initiatives through their official channels under the institutional premise of
applying scientific knowledge to productive development. “Science and
technology for cacao production!” , highlighted the ministerial portfolio by
reiterating the State's commitment to applied research and national food sovereignty
.
