Caracas Mayor's Office inaugurated grandparents' club in La Vega

The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, inaugurated the Carmen Durán Grandmothers and Grandparents Club “La Nena”.

This space is located in the parish of La Vega and seeks to guarantee the healthy recreation of the elderly in the community.

In this regard, the mayor pointed out that the work on the structure was carried out after the project, promoted by the Bicentennial Socialist Commune, won the last National Popular Consultation.

In addition, it was known that this space benefits 50 older adults who meet daily to talk, share meals, board games, and other recreational, aesthetic and musical activities. At the same time, he highlighted that the space has an equipped kitchen, furniture, machines and implements, as well as areas for hairdressers and barbers.
