The Government of the People's Republic of China strongly condemned the drone attack on a bus carrying Belarusian children in the Russian province of Bryansk. The spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the Asian country, Guo Jiakun, expressed his firm rejection of this action and demanded the immediate cessation of aggressions directed against the civilian population and residential infrastructure.
The incident, which occurred last week in the aforementioned border town, caused the death of one person and left eight injured, of whom six are minors. Faced with this situation, the Belarusian authorities described the event as a terrorist act and reported that the attack sought to generate a high number of victims to force the inclusion of their nation in the armed conflict.
This event is in addition to the constant incursions and hostilities recorded in recent months against the inhabitants of the Russian provinces bordering the border, according to reports from the area.
With this official statement, the Xi Jinping administration reaffirms its position regarding the need to respect international law and safeguard the integrity of non-combatants.
