China will assume the presidency of the BRICS and organize the summit in 2027

The President of China, Xi Jinping, announced that his country will assume the presidency of the BRICS in 2027 and will host the next summit of the block, with the purpose of continuing the agenda of cooperation between its member States.

During his speech, Xi said that China will work together with other members to promote dialogue as a way to end conflicts in the Middle East and contribute to the stability of the region and the Persian Gulf.

The Chinese president called on the countries of the world to actively participate in diplomatic efforts to stop the war in the Middle East through negotiations and agreements, considering that the political solution constitutes the way to overcome tensions in that area.

This designation seeks to give continuity to the agenda of joint work between member countries and to consolidate multilateral cooperation on the global platform.
