Chinese New Year's Fair will offer the public an extensive exhibition

In partnership with the Ministry of People's Power for Culture, the Embassy of China in Venezuela will inaugurate this Wednesday, January 29, at 6:00 p.m., the Chinese New Year Fair in the Plaza de La Juventud, in Bellas Artes, Caracas, with an open-air show featuring cultural groups from both nations.

Those present at the celebration will enjoy the Dragon and Lion Dance, by the Confucius Institute and the Chinese Community, which will be presented simultaneously with the Vassals of La Candelaria de Caracas, in the midst of a play of lights and fireworks.

The activity will also present the Chinese theatrical play “Spring Festival Overture” and the Juan José Landaeta Symphony Orchestra together with the Viva Venezuela Ensemble of El Sistema. On stage, emblematic songs for the cultures of Venezuela and China will be performed, including “Apure on a Journey” and “Iron Blood Heart”.

The artistic presentations of the fair will also include the participation of the “Great China” choir, from the Chinese School in Caracas, and with shows such as “The Dragon Dance”, “The Jasmine Flower, “T ai Chi: Yin Yang shine in the Cosmos” and Venezuelan groups of traditional musical genres.

Until Friday, January 31, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Chinese New Year Fair will offer the public an extensive exhibition of the culture of the Asian giant and tasting of its cuisine, with free admission.
