Claudia Rengifo was named South American champion in weightlifting category 69 kg

Claudia Rengifo took the gold medal in the 69 kg category at the XIII South American Games Santa Fe 2026.

Rengifo recorded a lift of 110 kg at the start and 133 kg at the start for an Olympic total of 243 kg, securing first place on the podium.

Rengifo was accompanied on the podium by Colombian Julieth Rodríguez who finished second with 241 kg accumulated and Ecuadorian Bella Paredes after totaling 233 kg in the competition.
