The president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, reiterated her country's historic position in favor of the free self-determination of nations, stressing this principle as a central axis of its foreign policy. The president emphasized that her country will maintain a firm and coherent position before the international community, promoting the sovereignty of States in the face of external pressure.
Regarding the particular case of Cuba, the president was emphatic in rejecting the blockade policies, describing them as measures contrary to the welfare of the population. Sheinbaum said that Mexico is in favor of the island's free self-determination and against any action that results in the systematic punishment of the Cuban people, advocating respect for their sovereignty.
Faced with the current complex geopolitical landscape, the Mexican president made an explicit call to privilege constructive dialogue and peaceful solutions within the framework of international relations. Sheinbaum stressed that diplomacy must be the main tool for resolving disputes, rejecting coercive measures that, far from resolving conflicts, affect the stability and daily lives of citizens.
With these statements, the Mexican administration reaffirms its attachment to the fundamental principles of non-intervention and self-determination. The president's message seeks to project a foreign policy based on mutual understanding, seeking to contribute to a more just international order where cooperation prevails over isolation and conflict.
