The arrival of a specialized contingent from the Chilean cell attached to the Topos International Delegation of Mexico, at the Arturo Michelena International Airport in Carabobo, strengthens urgent operations to search for survivors after the destructive earthquakes that affected the country, an important addition of foreign personnel officially notified by the member of the South American delegation, Juan Venegas Soto.

The specialist explained that this technical equipment has high-tech tools capable of generating waves and capturing the respiration or pulsations of people trapped up to six meters deep and with a diameter of 25 meters, operational resources with which they will immediately be added to field work in the various civil structures that collapsed due to strong earthquake movements.

“We are going to join the team from Mexico, plus the four Argentines who arrived last night, and we are going to make a total team of 20 and our specialty is working on collapsed structures, entering spaces where there may still be signs of life,” Venegas Soto pointed out that during the night of Saturday, June 27, colleagues in the state of La Guaira located three citizens alive thanks to the use of these advanced locators.

Finally, the international rescuer recalled previous experiences of great complexity on the continent, such as the earthquake in Ecuador in 2016, where they managed to extract a 75-year-old alive 11 days after the natural disaster, a historical reference that motivates the brigade to maintain unwavering faith and to work tirelessly for the next few hours in Venezuelan territory.
