Cyclists Arlex Méndez and Clever Martínez win silver at the 2026 Central American Games

The Venezuelan cyclists Arlex Méndez and Clever Martínez achieved an outstanding performance for the national delegation by winning the silver medal in the demanding men's Madison event, held at the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo 2026.

After an exciting and memorable day at the velodrome, the Venezuelan duo secured second place on the regional podium, accumulating 59 points over the qualifying laps.

The first place was in the hands of the representative of Mexico, who led the competition with 72 units, while the Colombian couple completed the podium by winning the bronze medal with a total of 57 points.

With this result, Venezuelan track cycling adds a new medal to the Venezuelan medal table, and reaffirms the competitive level and hierarchy of national riders in multidisciplinary events in the continent.
