Venezuela's active participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), held in Russia, is consolidated as a key platform for strengthening the Republic's economic cooperation with the world's emerging powers, as stated by the internationalist Ernesto Wong.
During an interview on the program De Frente con La Noticia, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he also highlighted that the presence of the national delegation at this high-level meeting responds to the dynamism of Venezuelan peace diplomacy. “In this forum, important contacts can be consolidated to obtain mutual support and to assimilate knowledge about the State's need to be increasingly effective and efficient,” he said.
Wong also emphasized that at this meeting, fundamental alliances are woven for the country's economic stability, which are in line with the strategic projects and investments that the national government has planned for the benefit of the Venezuelan people.
“All the investments announced by the head of state (E), which were at the nation's doorstep, are being further consolidated with this participation in the forum,” he emphasized.
The analyst also highlighted that the St. Petersburg Forum, bringing together the main thought centers of the Global South to discuss major trends in trade and finance, aligns with Venezuela's position in rejection of international pressure.
“This meeting will open global understanding about the futility of sanctions against countries, which do not achieve their objectives and, on the contrary, violate international law through threats,” Wong concluded, after reiterating that current history marks a new pattern where the promotion of multilateralism is the only path to a stable future.
