The Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Trade convened a mass at the Church of Our Lady of Candlemas, in Caracas, to honor the seven foreign ministry officials who lost their lives during the double earthquake that occurred a month ago in the country.
The ceremony was attended by Foreign Minister Félix Plasencia, together with other authorities of the diplomatic organization, in an event that brought together both the staff of the institution and the citizens who came to pray for the fatalities and for the victims left by the natural emergency.
The holder of the foreign portfolio expressed on his digital platforms that the day constitutes a heartfelt recognition to fallen colleagues and recalled the words of priest Gerardino Barracchini during the homily, pointing out that shared silence envelops the sorrow of the entire nation.
The Bolivarian Government, under the leadership of the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, ratifies its support and faith in the midst of adversity, while the memory of the extinct stands as a beacon to promote hope and protection in Venezuelan homes affected by the seismic phenomenon.
