The governor of the state of Yaracuy, Leonardo Intoci, reported that the 112 communes and communal circuits of the entity formally began the process of debate and popular assemblies with a view to the National Popular Consultation to be held in Venezuela on October 18.

The regional president said that the days began over the weekend, with popular assemblies where communities evaluate, ratify and select the proposals that will enter the ballot in each territory.

He noted that the assemblies have the deployment of national, regional and municipal authorities to help coordinate actions.

In the San Javier sector of the San Felipe municipality, the General Manuel Cedeño agroecological commune, comprised of nine communities, served as a reference point for the review of community projects.

“The communes have appropriated the task and the responsibility. The responsible and transparent execution of the resources they receive shows a clear commitment to what is coming,” said Intoci.
