Great comeback! Venezuela beat Argentina and goes to the final of the South American Women's Under-20 Futsal Championship

The U20 women's national futsal team wrote a golden page in the history of Venezuelan sports after winning an unprecedented place in the grand final of the CONMEBOL South American Championship in the category, after completing an epic comeback against its Argentine counterpart with a score of 3-2.
In the match played at the Bolivarian Dome in Barquisimeto, the Argentines dominated the score 2-0 a few minutes before the end of the match.
With only 2 minutes left in the match, Venezuela's first goal (María Pino) arrived, the tie (María Rojas) came with one minute left before the final whistle and the surprise victory was completed by Michell Fernández with just 12 seconds left.
To reach this decisive clash, the Venezuelan national team (host of the tournament) advanced second in Group A with a single loss to Brazil and resounding victories against Bolivia, Ecuador and Paraguay, which they defeated 9-1 to get their way to the semifinals with a record of 13 goals in favor and five against during the group stage.
For its part, the Albiceleste reached this stage after having led Group B undefeated with ten points, the product of three wins (Chile, Uruguay and Peru) and a tie against Colombia, with seventeen points in favor and keeping the fence at zero.
This is the first time that the Venezuelan women's team has reached the grand final within the framework of the fifth edition of the CONMEBOL U-20 Women's Futsal Tournament, which had its first competition in Asunción in 2016.
