Former Colombian President Gustavo Petro called on the Historical Pact Party to coordinate solidarity actions with the communities of Chocó and Tolima, as well as with the cities of Pereira, Manizales, Armenia, Cali and Bogotá, affected by the 7.4 earthquake recorded this Monday morning.

The former president demanded an immediate response from the national government through search and rescue operations, medical care, temporary housing, water supply and food distribution for affected families.

“In a national emergency there can be no forgotten territories or second-class citizens, the State must first reach those who need it most.”
