Historical Pact questions government management after the earthquake in Colombia

The Historical Pact movement established a position on attention to the seismic emergency registered last August 10 in Colombia. Through its first official statement, the community questioned the effectiveness of government policy aimed at rebuilding the areas affected by the earthquake.

According to Telesur, the statement of the political movement was presented jointly by Senator Iván Cepeda and former president Gustavo Petro, who took up the spokesperson to present the block's observations regarding the state's management of the crisis.

During the presentation, the leaders emphasized the need to review the action plans implemented by the national authorities, pointing out that the State's priority should focus on direct and timely care for communities hit by the earthquake.

The spokespersons also insisted on the urgency of establishing efficient mechanisms to guarantee the prompt recovery of damaged infrastructure, ensuring that official measures respond comprehensively to the magnitude of the emergency in Colombian territory.
