This Monday, Mahmoud Nabavian, vice-president of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran, denounced the participation of inspectors from the United Nations nuclear agency in espionage activities against the nation's peaceful nuclear program, Telesur said.

The legislator stated that security officers had found “spy chips in the shoes of inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)” in regular body searches before visiting the Persian country's nuclear facilities. “Agency agents are, without a doubt, spies. (...) This is a proven fact,” he stressed.

He also questioned the behavior of the IAEA and its dubious techniques used to detect Iranian nuclear facilities. “How do you know that we have nuclear facilities in Natanz? They usually discover it through American satellites or security services,” he said.

In this regard, he accused the director general of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, for receiving information from Israel about Iran's nuclear facilities. “Why do they listen to Israel? , Are you a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty?” , questioned and emphasized that the Israeli regime provides the agency with misleading data about Iran's nuclear program and facilities.
