Israel continues with pretensions to steal territory from Palestine

The Israeli parliament , on July 23, approved the proposal urging the Zionist cabinet to officially extend sovereignty to the West Bank.

Meanwhile, the famine situation in Gaza is critical, with more than 470,000 people at risk of starvation and an alarming increase in acute malnutrition, especially among children.

“Israel's policies in the occupied West Bank appear to be aimed at clearing areas for settlement expansion and are part of a broader and coordinated strategy to expand and consolidate the annexation of the occupied West Bank, while reinforcing its system of discrimination, oppression and control over Palestinians there,” the United Nations (UN) said.

The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez , recently denounced that the major international media are involved in a campaign to cover up the genocide perpetrated by Israel. He pointed out that it is necessary to carefully review the title of the news about what is happening in Gaza, since many media deliberately conceal the seriousness of the events.

In that sense, he made a historical analogy and warned that the current narrative is reminiscent of what would have happened if, during the Second World War, the media had presented the discovery of Nazi concentration camps as simple confrontations.
