Israeli forces arrest Press TV journalist Naqqa Hamed in the West Bank

Israeli army officers arrested Press TV's correspondent, Naqqa Hamed, during a procedure deployed at a military checkpoint located near the town of Tuq', southeast of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

According to information collected at the scene, the journalist was intercepted along with her production team while traveling around the area. After carrying out an inspection and search of the group of communicators, the uniformed officers proceeded to release the cameramen and took the reporter into custody.

Hamed's arrest was preceded by a series of attacks and harassment campaigns on digital platforms by extremist accounts. The communication professional had already been the victim of attacks by the occupying forces while covering military operations in the Qalandiya refugee camp.
