Iván Cepeda presents new government program for Colombia

In Colombia, the candidate of the Historical Pact, Iván Cepeda, presented a new 118-page government program that clarifies and discards previous positions to expand his base of support. The document establishes the fundamental axes of its management proposal for the country.

In the area of health, the plan proposes a public, humane and universal access system focused on primary care and prevention. The initiative seeks to expand the existing hospital network and significantly improve public access to medical services.

Regarding security, Cepeda's vision focuses on comprehensive human security that prioritizes life and rights. The program contemplates strengthening the security forces through the incorporation of technology, with the objective of effectively combating crimes and illegal economies.

Also to combat corruption, the proposal proposes the creation of a national system against macro corruption. The plan includes strengthening oversight bodies and implementing higher standards of transparency in all public procurement processes.
