Venezuelan judokas Anriquelis Barrios and Leomaris Ruiz won six medals for Venezuela at the start of their specialty at the XX Ayacucho-Lima 2025 Bolivarian Games. This Tuesday, the judo competition will continue at the sports center 3 of the National Sports Village.

Barrios won a victory in the -63 kg category against Colombia's Cindy Mera. Prior to that, Barrios beat Tamara García from Uruguay in the quarterfinals. He then won the semifinal against Marcela Alfaro from Chile.

The second gold of the day was won by Ruiz at -52 kilograms, after beating Paloma Narvaez from Paraguay. Audreys Pacheco won the silver medal in the -57 kg after falling by ippon to Astrid Gavidia from Colombia. Andrés Pariche also finished with the silver medal in the -73 kilograms when he gave up in the final by ippon to the Dominican Maikor Louis Pierre.

Willis Garcia was also silver in the -66 kilograms. He won Chile's Lucas Fernández by Wazari in the semifinals and Jonathan Benavides from Ecuador beat him by Ippon in the decisive car. Gabriela Miranda won bronze at -48 kilograms after beating Bolivia's Noelia Paz by Yuko, 16 seconds into the golden score.
