Kremlin rules out progress in the conflict with Ukraine and ratifies the course of the military operation

The Government of the Russian Federation, through the Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, confirmed on Monday that there has been no significant progress towards a diplomatic resolution of the conflict with Ukraine, while ratifying Moscow's determination to maintain the special military operation until the strategic objectives set out are achieved.

During his speech at the forum of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies, the spokesman described the recent massive attacks with unmanned aircraft recorded during the elections for the State Duma as acts of “sabotage”. However, Peskov emphasized that the incursions failed to disrupt the electoral process or alter citizen participation, assuring that they “had no effect” on the results.

Despite the lack of progress at the dialogue table, the Russian administration reiterated its willingness to keep communication channels open to resume trilateral negotiations when the necessary conditions exist.

In the communication and international spheres, the Kremlin spokesman highlighted the existing positive cooperation with the People's Republic of China in information matters and defended the need to guarantee free access to the media in the face of restrictions imposed by the White House. Peskov also highlighted the strategic role of global news agencies in confronting the proliferation of fake news and containing the dynamics of disinformation on the world stage.
