The Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed this Friday the death of 18 people and at least 33 injured as a result of Israeli bombings recorded in the early hours of the morning, according to detailed information by Telesur.
The attacks occurred around 03:00 (local time) this Friday, when Israeli planes launched offensives after clashes with Hezbollah fighters who had repelled two attempts at military advances in the south of the country.
According to official reports, the bombings were directed at several locations: in Harouf, seven people died and ten were injured; in Doueir and Al Sharqiyah, there were three fatalities in each town; while in Al Qatrani and Jesbshit, two people died in each case. Another death was reported in Al Abbasiya.
The offensives also reached residential areas. In Harouf, the Baydar neighborhood was hit, and in Doueir a building in the Al Tarbiya wal Taalem sector was destroyed.
These attacks occur despite the memorandum signed between the United States and Iran, which stipulated the immediate cessation of Israeli hostilities against Lebanon and the withdrawal of occupied territories.
However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on Thursday that the Army will maintain the so-called security zone, which contradicts the commitments made in the agreement.
