Marine Le Pen leads the voting intention for France's 2027 presidential elections

The deputy and parliamentary leader of the National Group, Marine Le Pen, maintains a wide advantage in her intention to vote ahead of the French presidential elections scheduled for 2027, according to a survey by Toluna Harris Interactive. The study measured the preference of the French electorate against various political scenarios, according to information reported by Telesur.

According to the survey, the political leader achieved between 35% and 38% of the support in the five combinations evaluated for the first round. These results position Le Pen with a considerable distance from the rest of the competitors, consolidating its advantage in the initial projections of the race for the French presidency.

For his part, the leader of the left-wing party Unsubmissive France, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, placed in the second box of preferences, registering between 16% and 17% of the votes in the scenarios analyzed. With that percentage, the opposition leader would be able to contest the ballot in most of the hypotheses put forward by the consultant.

The first round of presidential elections in the European nation is scheduled for April 18, 2027, with the second round scheduled for May 2. The current president, Emmanuel Macron, will not be able to participate in this process, since he is constitutionally banned because his second consecutive presidential term is ending.
