A deployment of pre-hospital medical care will take place at the three venues of the 2026 World Cup in Mexico: Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey, by the Mexican Red Cross, whose objective is to guarantee health security throughout the world cup, from this Thursday, June 11 to next July 19.
Through a press release published by the organization, on its official website, it reported that “under the fundamental principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality and universality, the institution reaffirms its commitment to providing timely and free care to anyone whose life or health is at risk, thus strengthening its capacity to respond to the massive concentration of visitors expected during the World Cup match”.
The operation has approximately 500 volunteers. Due to some requests from the International Football Association Federation (FIFA), the Red Cross will remain at the Azteca Stadium, with five internal offices staffed by doctors and emergency technicians. Along with two ambulances at the security perimeter.
“With this national deployment, the Mexican Red Cross reaffirms its commitment to protecting people's lives, health and safety during one of the most important sporting events in the world,” the letter states.
