Ministry of Food recognizes staff for their support after a double earthquake in Aragua

Fair recognition of the vocation of service and humanitarian effort was given to the personnel who were deployed in the Tovar municipality of the state of Aragua, following the impact of the seismic events recorded in the entity.

This is the Venezuela Renace Medal: Food Heroes, a distinction aimed at praising the uninterrupted work of those who remained on the front line of care to guarantee basic assistance to affected communities.

The activity included the words of the territorial coordinator of the Ministry of People's Power for Food, Brian Díaz, who sent a message of congratulations to the workforce of each of the institutions involved.

During his speech, the spokesperson especially valued the coordination achieved by the PDVAL, MERCAL, Alimentos Aragua and Salbiven teams, while giving differentiated recognition to the extraordinary work carried out by Fundaproal and the green troop of the National Institute of Nutrition (INN).

The representative of the ministerial body emphasized that the permanent presence of these bodies in the territory made it possible to respond in a priority and effective way to the contingencies generated by the seismic double. In this regard, he stressed that “the commitment of public servants was key to maintaining the distribution of food supplies and nutritional monitoring in sectors where the population required greater support and protection.”

Finally, the territorial coordinator stressed that the highest remuneration for the duty performed lies in the tranquility of the inhabitants of the Tovar municipality, especially in the most fragile sectors. He pointed out that the real satisfaction for the entire team lies in seeing girls, boys and older adults in vulnerable conditions properly cared for and protected by the State's comprehensive food system.

Also present were the mayor of the jurisdiction Maximiliano Suárez and representatives of the institutions that make up the General Food Staff in the entity.
