Misión Sonrisa delivered dental prosthesis to older adults in Aragua

The Smile Mission benefited 56 older adults in the Girardot municipality, Aragua state, with the delivery of 101 dental prostheses free of charge.

As reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), the care day included prior oral and dental conditioning for the sanitation of patients through prophylactic cleaning, extraction of damaged parts and treatment of cavities.

The entity's Single Health Authority, Yosmary Lombano, specified that with this activity, the number of dental attachments awarded in the region has risen to 811 so far in 2026, with a total of 453 elderly people treated.

The deployment was under the technical direction of the regional coordinator of the program, Abelardo García, and is carried out within the framework of health policies coordinated by the national health portfolio to return chewing function and dental aesthetics to the prioritized population.
