More than seven tons of humanitarian aid from Panama arrive in Venezuela

More than seven tons of humanitarian aid were sent from the Republic of Panama to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, arriving at Simon Bolivar International Airport.

According to information from the Foreign Ministry, this shipment is the result of a day of solidarity that brought together students, workers, private companies, social organizations, friendship movements with Venezuela, public institutions and Panamanian and Venezuelan citizens committed to the well-being of families affected by the double seismic event that occurred last June 24.

The shipment was officially delivered by the head of the Venezuelan Consular Section in Panama, Julio Rafael Chávez Meléndez, who stressed that this initiative demonstrates that solidarity between peoples continues to be one of the greatest strengths in Latin America.

“The more than seven tons of humanitarian aid that we are delivering today in Venezuela represent much more than food, medicine and supplies. They are the expression of the love, solidarity and commitment of the Panamanian people with the Venezuelan people. Every box that arrives in La Guaira today carries with it the efforts of students, workers, companies, social organizations, volunteers and the human team of our Consular Section, who worked tirelessly for weeks to make this mission possible. The best tribute we can pay today to Liberator Simon Bolivar is to demonstrate that the union between our peoples continues to be transformed into concrete actions of solidarity.”
