Factors of the extreme right tried to sabotage the canonization of Saints José Gregorio Hernández and Carmen Rendiles in the Vatican, through a political show and violence.

After the presentation of the Venezuelan Symphony Orchestra, which traveled to Rome with the support of the Bolivarian Government, extremists displayed a flag with seven (7) stars while shouting “freedom”, with the purpose of strengthening the matrix of a supposed dictatorship in Venezuela.

The extremists, sent by María Corina Machado, also took out posters with images of criminals deprived of their liberty for conspiracies and aggressions against the country, whom they try to make look like supposed “political prisoners”.

In addition, they verbally assaulted the Bolivarian delegation, including the ambassador to the Holy See, Franklin Zeltzer, and other Venezuelan diplomats.
