After the fall of heavy rains in various regions of Peru, the government of that country reported that an emergency will be declared in the affected regions, a measure aimed at supporting communities in the south and center of the country, which have suffered severe rainfall in recent days.

“We are going to have to declare a state of emergency the districts and regions that are going to be affected. At night, an emergency must be declared because we have to make several documents,” President Keiko Fujimori told the media.

In the same way, Fujimori said that the Minister of Defense, Rafael Belaunde, will travel to Arequipa (south) to monitor the situation in that town, as well as in Moquegua and Tacna.

In addition, the minister of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, Marco Vinelli, will be responsible for the work in the center of the Peruvian territory.
