Plan Venezuela Renace begins rehabilitation work on the Belair building in Caracas

Within the framework of the Venezuela Renace Plan, the Bolivarian Government began comprehensive recovery work on the Belair building, located on Panteón Avenue in Caracas, after the damage recorded by the double earthquake of last June 24.

Staff from the Ministry of People's Power and Public Works, in coordination with the technical team of the Presidential Commission for Habitability, began the approach.

The first actions were the controlled demolition of walls fractured by earthquakes for subsequent reconstruction, as well as the intervention of floors and the deep rehabilitation of the building's facades.

Crews and specialized personnel are deployed in the building carrying out specific work on the basement, the ground floor and floors 1 and 2, in order to ensure structural stability and security of the building. The comprehensive intervention directly impacts 80 families living and organized in the community, who monitor the progress of the work with a view to a safe return to their homes.
