This Tuesday, Pope Leo XIV expressed his condolences for the victims and the material devastation caused by the earthquake in Colombia, while recognizing the work of those who participate in the tasks of rescuing and helping the victims.

The Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, sent a telegram to the archbishop of Cartagena and president of the Episcopal Conference, Francisco Javier Múnera Correa, where he conveyed the pontiff's regret for the serious damage in various regions of the country, which has left dead, injured and extensive damage, including numerous temples.
