Portugal and Venezuela evaluate alliances in construction, technology and training

To evaluate opportunities for exchange in construction and technology, the Minister of Popular Power for Transport, Francisco Garcés, held a working meeting with the mayor of Ribeira Brava, a town in Portugal, Jorge Santos.

Both authorities evaluated possible exchanges in the academic field to promote the development of human talent in the country.

The meeting reaffirms the commitment of the national Government to consolidate international alliances aimed at the modernization of public services and social welfare.

It is worth noting that recently the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia, met with the Portuguese Foreign Minister, Paulo Rangel, in the context of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, held in New York, in order to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two peoples.

Relations between Venezuela and Portugal remain active through deep historical, consular and diplomatic ties that have recently intensified thanks to a broad bilateral agenda.
