President Aleksandr Lukashenko expresses solidarity with Venezuela after major earthquakes

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, officially expressed his deep solidarity, on behalf of his Government and the Belarusian people, in the face of the tragedy caused by the earthquakes in the country. The diplomatic message was issued in response to the double earthquake of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 that occurred last Wednesday, June 24, events that have mobilized the support of the international community.
For her part, the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, thanked the message of support and the timely institutional support sent by the European president in the face of the contingency. The interim head of state stressed that this gesture of fraternity ratifies the mutual commitment and closeness of both nations in the face of critical emergency situations.
Rodríguez also highlighted the strength of the strategic alliance and the deep relationship of friendship and mutual respect that unites both territories at the international level. He explained that the support of global allies strengthens local actions aimed at rescue, damage mitigation and direct assistance in the most vulnerable areas.
With this statement, the international cooperation network that accompanies the nation is increasing as technical contingency plans advance in the field.
