President Delcy Rodríguez visits Misión Nevado hostel that will treat 400 pets rescued after earthquakes

The president of the
Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, inaugurates the Nevado Mission pet
shelter to provide veterinary care and
ensure safe shelter and medical care for stray animals.
Despite the devastating effects
of the double earthquake that occurred on June 24,
Venezuela demonstrates its capacity for resilience with the creation of this
space that has volunteers, veterinary doctors and
popular power, who have worked tirelessly to ensure comprehensive care
, vaccination and protection for pets.
They accompany the head of state, the president
of the Nevado Mission, Maigualida Vargas; and the coordinator of the Misión Nevado pet shelter, Ana Paredes.
This
center, which opens its doors to welcome animals rescued from the state of La
Guaira after earthquakes, has a
high-level surgical area, a state-of-the-art incubator and a clinical laboratory equipped
with Artificial Intelligence for precision diagnostics.
In addition, it has a
specialized cat tray, institutional kitchen for specific diets and
recreational areas for emotional recovery. It also has services
that include complex surgery, dentistry and training, which will
simultaneously function as an operational rescue unit.
The
hostel will operate permanently as a meeting point for those who
wish to add a new member to their household, offering comprehensive support
that ensures that each rescued animal receives the care and stability
it deserves after having overcome situations of vulnerability.
