President Delcy Rodríguez warned of the seriousness of the global environmental crisis, noting that the temperature above the oceans registered an alarming increase, from 1.25 to 1.94 degrees Celsius. In turn, he recalled that during the debates of the Paris Agreement, any increase greater than one degree was already considered a real climate emergency, so these figures show a dangerous acceleration of climate changes that directly impact the planet and the region.

“The temperature over the oceans has risen from 1.25 degrees Celsius to 1.94 degrees Celsius. When the Paris agreement was discussed, it was already thought that above one degree Celsius it was a climate emergency,” said President Delcy Rodríguez.
