In order to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Fidel Castro on August 13, the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez recognized the values promoted by this Cuban leader in favor of the union of Latin American countries.

“President Fidel Castro is one of the leaders who transcend time and remain in the collective memory. Today, as we commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth, we remember his firm commitment to dignity, social justice, sovereignty, supportive internationalism and the unity of our Latin America and the Caribbean. An upright leader who has set a benchmark for the free peoples of the world,” stressed the president in charge, in her account on the social network Telegram.
