President-in-Charge thanked the CARICOM countries for the humanitarian aid sent by the countries of CARICOM

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, received a total of 88 containers of humanitarian aid from the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) this Tuesday.


On a day of inspection of the international humanitarian aid that has arrived in the country, the National President thanks the governments of Barbados, Bahamas, Grenada, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Belize, Saint Lucia, Antigua and Dominica, and Haiti for their support.


Among the contributions received are:

Food:


1,400 tons of rice

7,000 canned

3,400 boxes of water

100,000 diapers

1,350 mattresses and pillows

1,000 bags of clothes and footwear

Medical supplies:


1.5 million drug tablets

32 doctors and surgeons

Machineries:


1 backhoe

1 mini charger

8 power plants

2 hammer drills

6 water pumps

6 cordless angle grinders

On behalf of the Venezuelan people, the Head of State ratified the close ties of friendship, cooperation and brotherhood that unites Venezuela with each of the Caribbean countries.
