President Rodríguez: Governments have a responsibility not to divert the constructive purpose of AI

The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, this Wednesday, September 23, emphasized the need to address the constructive use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which “represents a true technological revolution”.

During his speech, before the Plenary of the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), in New York, United States, he stressed that the governments of the world, the technological sectors, the scientific community, “we have an immense responsibility not to divert the constructive and vital purpose of AI for the benefit of citizens”.

“We are witnessing a milestone in the transformation of humanity, which when properly used will mean unprecedented development in the health, the environment, productive processes and the life of human beings in general,” he said.

He warned that “the digital divide and inequality in the world must not deepen”.
