Presidents of Russia and India will hold bilateral meeting within the framework of the BRICS summit in New Delhi

The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, will hold a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi, this Friday, September 11, in the city of New Delhi, prior to the formal development of the BRICS summit, a geopolitical platform that brings together the world's main emerging economies.

The official agenda of the Russian head of state will include a working visit from September 11 to 13 in the Indian capital, aimed at evaluating the progress of regional strategic cooperation. In this regard, the advisor to the Russian Presidency, Yuri Ushakov, confirmed the president's schedule, stating that “already on September 11, our president will hold his first conversation with the host of the summit, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi”.

The meeting between the two leaders confirms the continued alliance between Moscow and New Delhi in terms of trade, energy and international balance, while consolidating political articulation within the BRICS bloc. This summit represents a nerve space for promoting a multipolar global order based on economic complementarity, respect for the sovereignty of peoples and equity in international trade.

The high-level meeting in New Delhi reaffirms the operational strength of the multinational bloc to face unilateral coercive measures and tensions imposed by hegemonist power centers.
