This Monday, August 24, the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley, arrived at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetia, where she was received by the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia.

Mottley arrived in Venezuela accompanied by a High-Level Commission, with the purpose of fulfilling a diplomatic agenda aimed at continuing to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

As part of the work agenda, new alliances are planned in economic, energy and educational matters, in connection with the recent visit made by the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, to Barbados in April.

Relations between Venezuela and Barbados have been characterized by bilateral cooperation and dialogue, with an emphasis on areas such as energy, trade, education and social development.
