On July 23, the international airline Qatar Airways will begin operations to Venezuela, through a route that will connect Doha with the capitals of Colombia and the Bolivarian nation, Bogotá and Caracas respectively.

As reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), the company already has the required authorizations to enable the immediate sale of tickets in global reservation systems, with flight frequencies on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The connection will be made under a triangular route modality that will directly link the three destinations. According to a company statement, passengers returning to Venezuela will remain on board the aircraft during the technical stopover established in the Colombian capital, while travelers who begin their transfer from Bogotá to the Middle East must make a mandatory disembarkation and comply with safety protocols in Maiquetia.

“This service represents an important milestone for the airline, as Qatar Airways becomes the first airline in the Gulf to operate flights to Venezuela and the first to offer flights from the Middle East to Caracas and Bogotá,” the company said in a statement.
