Qatar: Israeli military operation in Gaza is genocide in every sense of the word

During his speech at the opening of the 81st session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, described the Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip as a “genocide in every sense of the word” and called it a “stain of shame on the conscience of humanity as a whole”.

The head of state of the Gulf country warned the plenary of world leaders that there will be no legitimate or just international order as long as the Palestinian cause continues to be treated as a blind spot by the global community.

In addition, Al Thani emphasized the urgency of stopping aggression against the civilian population and the immediate cessation of hostilities, pointing out that the lack of institutional firmness to demand compliance with international law jeopardizes the credibility of multilateral organizations.
