Russian researchers patent a program to extract keywords from scientific texts

A team of researchers and computer developers in the Russian Federation obtained the official patent for a novel program designed to automatically extract key words and concepts in scientific and academic texts. The main objective of the technological tool is to optimize the processing of specialized publications and accelerate the search for information in highly complex databases.

The software operates using Natural Language Processing (PLN) algorithms and advanced semantic analysis, allowing it to examine the structure of articles, theses and technical reports. Unlike conventional search tools by simple coincidence, this system evaluates the conceptual context and thematic density of documents to select the most representative terms with the highest level of precision.

According to those responsible for the project, the creation of this platform responds to the exponential growth of global scientific literature and the need to efficiently systematize large volumes of data. In addition, the development represents a significant step forward in strengthening technological sovereignty and digital equipment for higher education institutions and research centers.

After the granting of intellectual property registration, the progressive integration of this program into university repositories, digital libraries and bibliographic documentation platforms is contemplated.

The use of this technology will allow researchers, teachers and students to optimize document review and thematic categorization times in various knowledge disciplines.
